Local clothing merchants are stocking up and putting some items on sale. Tax free holiday has become very popular and requires stores to add staff.

A new item on the non-taxed list this year is backpacks. Some clothing, like football equipment and shoes with cleats are not eligible. The savings is not just for school kids, clothing for infants and adults is also tax free this weekend.

Parents with several children needing school clothes might consider a thrift store. The already low prices will be offered tax free next weekend.
Rickey Green says "some of it is new, some is used. Just have to go through the racks and you will find some good deals here. You will pay a percentage of full retail and we are also involved in tax free weekend."
Christians in Action offers good clothes at bargain prices. Plus, the money raised helps the local community.
Rickey Green says "you can find some good bargains. For example, I was looking for pants and found four pair of new Dockers for just $20."
Friday morning shoppers will have the best selection.
