One of the many booth’s that is at the National Night Out is Farmer's Insurance's MILK Digital ID Event that helps protects parents pride and joy...their children. Nicole Sanchez has more. "There's probably nothing more important to a parent than their children and the safety of their children," Courtney McCutchen, Farmer's Insurance Agency Manager says.
Farmer's Life Insurance is giving that extra shield of protection to San Angelo Families and their children with MILK.
"Milk stands for managing information on lost kids. The importance of milk is that basically 1 in 7 children are found because of a picture and so if you can get that picture the quicker so you can get that to the authorities, the quicker your child can be found," McCutchen says.
This personal digital safety ID is a national effort of Farmers Insurance Agents to provide parents with a photo and information of their child linked on a disk to use in case of an emergency.
"We give you the CD so that you'll have a picture of your kid if anything ever happens to your child id, their lost or kidnapped this CD will actually shoot this image straight to the Amber Alert Group it's very essential on getting your child's photograph out there so people can help find it to get the process started," McCutchen says.
And those seconds can make the difference if something is to happen to your child. From newborns to teenagers, all ages are welcome to take part in this few minute procedure that is free for the parents.
"It's something that they never think about until there's a problem, so if we can help in the insurance business planning ahead for that then that management risk just like the things that we do every day. So it's just a different type of risk, it's your family," McCutchen says.
