school2007-07-30-1185836914.jpgYou might be packing luggage for your last minute summer vacation. One other item you will have to start packing soon is school supplies. Nicole Sanchez has the story on how it might not be too early to prepare your children for Back-To-School.

In less than a month area children will be heading back to school but before they go, there are many items they might need to prepare to take with them on their first day of school. The school list for each child can vary from 10 to over 20 items, and area Target Human Resources Executive, Brian Golden says that it's not just the student's and stores who have to prepare, also do the parents.

"The most important thing I would say is to actually get the list ahead of time, you don't want to wait until the last minute on a lot of this stuff. Especially on the pens, pencils, backpacks those things that go very fast," Golden says.

And the more children you have headed back to the books, that means more supplies you'll need to buy.

"They give you a different list in the beginning of the year and when they do they give it to you in school, so you have to buy extra,” Theresa Reyna mother of 3 students says.

Reyna got a head start to her school shopping, Monday morning at Target.

"I like to get the specials, and then when the tax free comes that's when I try to get as much as I can,” Reyna says.

"Highlighters, pens, pencils and so we've really got something for everybody. Some people just want the basics; some people do want the variety as far as color,” Golden says.

So whether you start early or the day before school, remember that it's all for the same reason.

"With all the hype going on for back to school, its kinds of gets lost, these are all for the kids,” Golden says.
