Colts Take Sole Second

baseball2007-07-29-1185736680.jpg The San Angelo Colts used late inning heroics to pass Amarillo for second place in the United Leadue Standings.
The Colts and Dillas entered the game tied for second six games behind Alexandria for first place. San Angelo jumped out to a 7 to 2 lead but saw it disappear when the Dillas scored five unearned run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at seven. The Colts, however, would answer scoring three unanswered runs hanging on to win the game 10 to 7 Saturday night. The two teams complete their series in Amarillo at 7:05 pm on Sunday.
