County Budget Proposal

Tom Green County Commissioners filed a proposed budget plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

County Judge Mike Brown says the proposal triggered a number of time tracts that have to be met before voting on the budget and tax rate. Publication of the proposed effective and rollback rates by the Appraisal District is still pending. Judge Brown went further to say voting for the proposed budget and tax rate is expected to take place in September.
