A PLACE WHERE YOU SEE PEOPLE DOING WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR FAMILY. DOING WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO KEEP THEIR CHILDREN IN SCHOOL. BUT SOMETIMES THAT'S NOT ENOUGH--AND THEY NEED HELP. RENEE---IT'S BAD OVER HERE. KATHY---A GROUP FROM SAN ANGELO THAT CALL THEMSELVES DEL CORAZON IS ON A MISSION TO REFURBISH AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RENEE---MY DAUGHTER SAID I NEEDED TO COME LOOK AT THE CONDITIONS. KATHY---RENEE AND TONY PEREZ ARE HEADING OFF THIS PROJECT TO HELP ZARAGOZA ELEMENTARY IN ACUNA, MEXICO. ALONG WITH OTHER VOLUNTEERS FROM SAN ANGELO, THEY PLAN ON FINISHING THIS PROJECT BEFORE AUGUST 20TH---THE DAY THE KIDS RETURN TO SCHOOL. TONY---THE RESTROOMS NEED TO BE REBUILT, THE WATER TO WASH THEIR HANDS IS STAGNANT, THEY HAVE NO RUNNING WATER. KATHY'S STAND-UP--SCHOOL IS OUT FOR THE SUMMER AND IT'S PROBABLY A GOOD THING. IT'S ABOUT 100 DEGREES RIGHT NOW AND WITH 40 STUDENTS IN THIS CLASSROOM...YOU CAN INMAGINE HOW HOT IT CAN GET IN HERE. THAT'S WHY THEY NEED YOUR HELP WITH CEILING FANS. TONY---IT'S ALREADY HOT IN HERE.... KATHY---PARENTS ARE WILLING TO HELP. THEY ARE HERE ON THIS DAY TO OFFER WHAT THEY CAN TO GET THE SCHOOL IN BETTER SHAPE FOR THEIR CHILDREN. SOME KNOW THE LABOR, BUT JUST DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY WHAT THE SCHOOL NEEDS. KATHY STAND-UP---THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING IS ALSO AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE BUILDING. THEY WANT TO DO EVERYTHING FROM PAINTING TO FIXING WINDOWS TO FIXING THE WATER PIPES. RENEE--WE'RE GOING TO FIX THIS HAVE THE WATER PRESSURE BACK UP WHEN THEY RETURN TO SCHOOL. KATHY--THE KITCHEN IS ALSO IN BAD SHAPE. TONY DESCRIBING THE KITCHEN. KATHY---A PROJECT LIKE THIS DEPENDS ON A LOT OF DONATIONS. BE IT MONETARY OR GIFTS SUCH AS TOILETS, CEILING FANS, OR SCHOOL SUPPLIES. THAT'S WHY DEL CORAZON IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP.
