Santa Rita Home Owners Association, Mark Thieman says, “It’s very casual and laid back and everybody gets their bikes dressed up and kids and their pets and just makes the tour around Santa Rita.”
This tour celebrated the Declaration of Independence in which over 100 participants took part in. It reminds these residents of what the holiday is all about.
10 year old Santa Rita resident, Clara Cargil says, “We fought for our Independence and some men gave up their lives for us.”
“We gotta be proud of our independence and just who wants to live anywhere else and how many people are trying to get here, so what we’re doing is great.” Bobby Flitcher a Santa Rita resident says.
9 year old, Anna Wallace a Santa Rita resident says, “America is really special and stuff and that’s good.”
Although this Independence Day parade only happens once a year, Santa Rita residents hope that this message continues.
“I mean we need more people who are willing to stand up and say hey, this is a great Country,” Flitcher says.
The Santa Rita Home Owners Association sponsored the parade.
