Deadly Accident

An accident that took place Thursday in San Angelo may be as bizarre as it is tragic. One San Angelo man is dead after being hit with a falling tree limb in his own driveway. According to San Angelo Police, Abundio Hernandez had just pulled into his driveway on Texas Street when the accident took place. Hernandez and his wife were just getting out of a car when a large limb from a nearby tree broke loose and came crashing down. Hernandez was trapped under the falling debris, but his wife was not injured. The injured man was rushed to Shannon Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead at the hospital. San Angelo Police believe this situation was purely accidental.
