Opening weekend of the Lone Star Conference Softball Schedule is in the book and the Angelo State 'Belles are in first place, but so are three other teams after they all earned sweeps. The unique thing with ASU's sweep is that happened with a still evolving line-up, one that may be settling in with four freshman consistently on the field at the same time.

Travis Scott: "All weekend we started a freshman at third, a freshman at short, freshman at second, and a freshman in right. So there's going to be a little of growing pains but they played really well this weekend and we're excited about that class of freshman and they're going to get their opportunity, and I think they're going to be ready to step up to the plate."

ASU will host Eastern New Mexico on Friday and Saturday.
