Our highest wind gust today was 58 miles an hour.  Today's winds caused minor property damage across the Concho Valley.
During the lunch hour today -- state transportation department crews removed a big throughway street sign knocked over by wind gusts at the Van Buren Street exit.
A TXDOT field superintendent says crews would wait until winds were slower before attempting to replace the sign.
For the rest of the afternoon -- road crews were on patrol watching for other signs damaged by high winds.
The high winds also triggered power outages across the city throughout the day.
Residents in north San Angelo along 19th Street lost power for a time.
A spokesman for AEP said people in the Ben Ficklin area of San Angelo out to Wall reported temporary power outages.
Also around the lunch hour -- residents in sections of the Bluffs -- and one dorm on the Angelo State University campus also had temporary outages.
