NCO Academy Closure

By: KSAN News
Updated: June 12, 2007

Hundreds of Tech Sergeants may not be making their way to Goodfellow Airforce Base.

This is the word from Chief Edy Agee, Commandant for the Goodfellow Air Force Base NCO Training Academey. According Chief Agee, the NCO Academy, which brings in nearly 400 students a year from five different air force bases, may be closing in the near future due to a reduction of tech sergeants. The academy offers seven classes a year, with 70 students per class, where tech sergeants train to become senior NCOs. If closed, training would continue at other air force academies at different locations.
