Entering Saturday nights game against the leagues best team the Stampede Express were highly optimistic. Despite the fact the Swashbucklers were undefeated and man handled them just three weeks ago the Stampede felt they had finally found themselves. And through two quarters of play it appeared they were correct in that assessment. Entering the locker room at half time they were trailing 37-32, but if not for kicking problems on point afters it would have been a tie game. But then came the second half. The Stampedes offense failed to execute and the Swashbucklers offense continued to fire as they came away with a victory by the final of 63-45. Next week the Stampede will travel to Frisco to take on the Thunder.
