"Chef Wilcox will be familiar to many people from Top Chef, Top Chef All Stars. He's got a fantastic restaurant in Dallas called The Marquee Grill. Texas monthly number three restaurant in the nation."
Ahi tuna and rabbit tenderloin are just a few items that will be on the menu at the 29th Annual San Angelo Wine and Food Festival, which is the sole fundraiser for the Cultural Affairs Council.
"One of our prime programs is our sub-granting program. We help the city allocate funds for other non-profit arts organizations. This past year we were able to give 10 organization $108,000, so we are very proud of that."
And even though some may think the $150 meal is pricey, Chef Wilcox says you won't find food this good many places in the Lonestar State.
"I've got a good story but I can back up the story. The food is delicious . It's full of flavor and excitement. Its the kind of thing where you say 'I've never had this before, or I have had it before and didn't really like it.' I can change your mind."
The second part of the Food and Wine Festival will take place in April and the Museum of Fine Arts.
