San Angelo Hotel Occupancy Up

City council members will also begin considering changes to the
distribution of money generated from the current hotel occupancy tax.
In the last five years - the tax has generated about 1.5 million dollars. Last year - that figure rose to 2-point-1 million. Right now - those funds are given to organizations like the convention and visitor's bureau and "SAPAC" on a percentage scale. Council members will conisder changing the way they are allocvated those funds from a percentage scale - to a set dollar amount. Aapproval for an ordinance will be considered at the next city council meeting
