Many say Williams revolutionized the way headers rope with his techniques.
"it changed because a lot of the rodeos are longer scores and back in the older days, everything was longer scores and then you went to the finals where all the money was and it was a short little building. And you had to be able to do both. You had to be able to rope in the long scores to get to the short scores, kind of like getting to the play offs, it changes all the rules."
2011 and 2012 world champion calf roper Tuf Cooper says he wants to pick up team roping again to give him a chance at the all around and competed today on what is very familiar territory.
"San Angelo is like a second home to me, as many events, great events as they have. The rodeo, the roping fiesta everything is awesome so when i come here, it feels like my second home, it's awesome."
