A new program in San Angelo is offering photographers a chance to win big - and showcase San Angelo's beauty.
The city's public art commission is holding a photo contest - called "Snaps" - and they're now accepting entries. With a theme of "Through The Lens: San Angelo" - photographers are encouraged to capture images around town - and enter them in j-peg format on a cd by March first.
Photos will be judged by an ASU art professor - who will name a first - second and third place winner - all of whom will receive cash prizes.
The winning photos will be displayed for a time at the Coop Gallery near San Angelo's Museum of Fine Art.
We spoke with one of the contest organizers - about the motivation behind the contest.
