Emergency Plane Landing on Knickerbocker

But this afternoon a plane was seen landing on the road. The pilot, Darrick Coffield, has been flying for 5 years and says this is his first time to have an emergency such as this.
The plane was taking off for their annual maintenance review, and up until he was in the air all systems were a go.
Coffield was running routine checks and during the process the engine shut down and in order to save the plane, the two passengers and himself, he chose to put it down on the road.
Coffield said when he was landing the plane there was one car driving on Knickerbocker, so he kept on the throttle and was able to safely avoid the car and keep himself, both passengers, and the plane safe and secure.
