Plans are underway for the annual New Year's Eve slumber party for children at the nature center.
It starts at eight in the evening New Year's Eve -- and continues overnight -- until eight in the morning January first. The event includes games -- watching movies -- and learning about the nature center animals. Children have to be at least five years old and will need to take a sleeping bag.  An evening snack and breakfast will be provided -- the reservation deadline is tomorrow.  For information call 942-0121
