Funeral Services Are Scheduled Tuesday Morning For Longtime San Angelo Symphony Conductor Gene Smith. Smith Died Saturday At The Age Of 77. He Conducted The San Angelo Symphony For 19 Years And Will Be Remembered In Addition To Other Accomplishments For Starting The Annual Summer July Pops Concert. Smith Also Founded The San Angelo Jazz Band And Recently Became A Member Of The Texas Band Directors Hall Of Fame.
