We begin at the San Angelo Independent School District where officials are happy to report no crime activity on any of its campuses today.
Earlier this week we spoke with a student and her mother who had allegedly heard rumors around one campus that some kids were planning to bring guns to school on this
So-called Mayan calendar doomsday. Local police assigned officers on all campuses around
The district and reported no problems whatsoever.
School administrators told us this evening there were a lot of kids who didn't report to campus today.
One school only had about half its students but overall about one-fourth to one-third of all students didn't attend classes today.
