San Angelo's school superintendent has issued a precaution about toy guns at schools.
A  letter went home with all Austin Elementary School students today regarding a toy pellet gun that had been taken to school in a backpack. In light of the recent school shooting in Connecticut -- San Angelo school administrators this afternoon put new precautions in place.
All parents of students at a school will be notified if a toy gun or a real weapon has been found on campus.
San Angelo police will also be notified and the toy gun or weapon will be confiscated.
