The San Angelo Colts lost both games of their Saturday double header against Rio Grande in the late innings. In game one the Colts were up 4 - 2 until a two run home run by Rio Grande in the fourth. Then after leaving a leadoff double on base in the sixth, the Colts gave up a run in the eighth and the ninth to lose the extra inning game 6 to 5. The second game the Colts held a two nothing lead with the bases loaded and two outs, when a wild pitch bounced off the home plate umpire and down the first base dugout to score the tying runs. After the break to check on the injured umpire, the first pitch back was belted into the Colts Bullpen to give Rio Grande a 4-2 lead. The Colts made it a 4 to 3 game and had the bases loaded but Trey Roberson struck out to end it.
