Tense moments Thursday night as a Carlsbad motorist came head to head with a pack of horses.
DPS Troopers say just before 10 o'clock Thursday night, 56 year old Danny Timms was heading east on FM 2105 in a Ford Focus when a pack of about ten horses busted through a fence onto the roadway. Timms struck one of the horses, sending it into the windshield, then into the roof. Timms, an Eden Corrections Officer, was transported to Shannon Medical Center with facial and head injuries. Investigators are working to identify the owner of the horses.
