Rams Win in World Series Debut!

The Angelo State Rams made their World Series debut today defeating Franklin Pierce 12-2 in 10 innings. The Rams were being no hit through 7 innings when they finally got on the board in the 7th tying the game 1. The rams then took the lead in the 8th 2-1 but Franklin Pierce tied it in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extra innings. In extra innings the Rams bats exploded scoring 10 runs on 7 hits to put the game away. Michael Gunter pitched 8 and 1/3 innings for the Rams but did not factor into the decision. Joe Key was the winning pitcher as he finished the game giving up 1 run. The Rams will be back in action Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. as they take on Columbus State.
