More Than A Hundred Professionals With A Green Thumb From Across Texas Are Here In San Angelo This Weekend.
The City Of San Angelo Hosts The Texas Association Of Botanical Gardens And Arboreta Conference. The Conference Included Seminars On Water Lily Collections To The Importance Of Preserving Botanical Gardens. Organizers Say The City Was Able To Host The Annual Conference Because Of The International Water Lily Collection Right Here In San Angelo.
Carl White/Parks Director: I Think A Lot Of Them Have Already Been Impressed About How Nice San Angelo Is. It Kind Of Surprises Folks, They Might Expect Something Else That Is Out Here On The Edge Of The Desert. But There Is Actually An Oasis Here And There Is Lots Of Gardens, A Lot Of Beauty And A Lot Of Friendly Folks.
