A month ago the Stampede Express suspended head coach Johnny Anderson for a minimum of ten days. But Tuesday the organization decided to make this a permanent decision. Anderson has been released as the head coach due to conduct that was against team policy. Wali Mumin who is currently serving as the defensive coordinator and as their top defensive player has been named the new head coach of the team. The Stampede took a gamble on Anderson who had no coaching experience at any level of football. After winning their season opener the Stampede lost their next two games under Anderson which marked the end of his coaching days for the Stampede. The Stampede are back on the road this Saturday against Corpus Christi.
